Head Physiotherapist Southend Rugby Football Club
W.D.C. was founded by Wendy McCloud in September 2006. Wendy qualified as a Chartered Physiotherapist in 1997 graduating from the University of East London with a BSc(Hons) Physiotherapy degree. Since this time Wendy has achieved a Masters degree in Advanced Sports Physiotherapy from University College London.
Wendy has worked in both public and private sectors since qualifying. Within the NHS Wendy worked as a Senior Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist and as an Extended Scope Practitioner Physiotherpaist working as part of an Orthopaedic Consultant's team specialising in Shoulder Pain.
Wendy has just finished working within National level Rugby Union working as the Head Physiotherapist for Southend Rugby Football Club after 11 years of leading the medical service. During her time at the club Wendy worked with players who achieved county honours and representatvie honours for various countries. Wendy resigned from her position as Head Physiotherapist at Southend RFC to open her new clinic within the Southend area.
Wendy will continue to work with sportsmen and women within her new practice and is expanding her Pilates services that she has successfully set up in the Brentwood and Southend.

Roy received his BSc(Hons) Physiotherapy Degree from Kings College London in 2006, graduating with upper secind class honours. Since this time Roy had worked in public and private sectors.
For the past two years Roy has worked for West Kent Community Health as a Musculoskeletal Outpatient Physiotherapist treating a wide range of Musculoskeletal, Rheumatological and Orthopaedic conditions and injuries. Within this role Roy is responsible for the management of the Back Rehabilitation Programme enabling him indepth experience treating patients with long term back pain.
Roy continues his professional development by attending and delivering regular training sesisons for physiotherapy staff. He has also attended external accredited courses to further his knowledge and skills. Aside from managing his own patient list Roy is actively involved with mentoring more junior staff.
Privately Roy has worked for Southend Rugby Football Club since 2006 as a Senior team Physiotherapist providing medical care for both 1st and 2nd team matches and training sessions. Within this role Roy has worked with players at a local level through to International players from overseas. Working in national level Rubgy Union has enabled Roy to develop his skills in assessing and treating acute injuries such as ligament/muscle tears and fractures/dislocations. Being so frontline in this area of physiotherapy requires quick, accurate diagnoses to ensure speedy recovery.
In the summer of 2008 Roy started work for W.D.C Physiotherapy covering both the Southend Brentwood Clinics. Due to clinic expansion as a result of increased patient demand he has now joined the clinic on a permanent basis.

Kirsty Wilson
Sports Massage & Remedial therapist

Kirsty Wilson, a Level 4 Sports massage and remedial therapist. Kirst uses techniques such as Sports Massage, Remedial Therapy, Muscle Energy Technique, Soft Tissue Release and Muscle Activation.
Kirsty works closely with fighters, and athletes and specialises in treating competitors from full contact sports.
I have competed and coached in both Boxing and Kickboxing, so understand the
associated injuries and imbalance that can occur through such training regimes. Sports and remedial massage techniques are great for everyone from desk workers to athletes and Kirsty uses a wide range of techniques to bring back muscle balance and relaxation.
